Transfixed by Contradictions

There are demons
in sunset clouds, in
glowing embers
of campfires. Just
waiting to get out
so to get in
side ourselves.
No protection
can mount
against them.
We are to face
such demons
of smoke
and fire,
accept them
for who
they are
and they
will do
the same.
